Meredith Sheldon is a CONTENT PRODUCER AT 11ALIVE NEWS IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA. She pitches, writes and produces exclusive, original content daily for 11Alive’s  broadcast and digital platforms. She does this while juggling breaking news and line producing the station's evening and late newscasts that run every hour from 5 P.M. to 11 P.M.

She produced live coverage and segments for the 2020 Presidential Election, the Senate runoff election in Georgia, the metro Atlanta spa shootings and the EF-4 Tornado that hit Newnan.

Meredith started out her career as a PRODUCER-IN-RESIDENCE AT KUSA 9NEWS IN DENVER, COLORADO. She came in with no prior production experience and jumpstarted as a line producer for Market 17’s top rated morning show. There, she line produced 2-hour and 1-hour newscasts and helped lead the  charge in innovating a producer program for post-college grads.

At 9NEWS, Meredith curated social conversations and produced segments utilizing CrowdTangle, ZipWhip, Megaphone and Tagboard Producer for the 4.5 hour show. She wrote, shot and edited content for the show's branded franchises as well as managed live segments.

Meredith is a storyteller at heart. She won a NATIONAL EDWARD R. MURROW AWARD in 2019 for sports-feature reporting, and she was one of five broadcast journalists in the country to compete in the HEARST NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP.  She's also received awards from the Society of Professional Journalists, National Broadcast Society, NATAS Emmy Awards and the Florida Scholastic Press Association.

She's produced her own docu-series, news/feature pieces and special projects across all platforms. Her goal is to tell stories that make an impact on her community.

Meredith worked at some of the top stations in the country during her time at the University of Florida, including ABC News in Los Angeles and Local10 News in Miami.
